Jamie McGarity

Jamie McGarity was born in New Jersey but spent most of her life in Florida. She graduated with a BA degree in Resort and Hospitality Management from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL. Upon graduation she worked as an Assistant Catering Director at Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples, FL.

In 2007, right after getting married, she and her husband, Jay, moved to Charlotte, NC. Jamie always had a passion for photography and decided to leave the hospitality industry to become a Corporate Training Manager/Photographer for Portrait Innovations.

In 2010 her son, Ryan, was born and Jamie decided to stay at home to raise him, in addition to launching her own portrait photography business. Jamie always envisioned her life with a baby on one hip and a brief case on the other.

In 2012 her daughter, McKinley, was born. Jamie continued to juggle her role as a mother, wife and business owner in order to stay at home with her children, while building a successful photography business that would provide for her family.

As the kids were getting older and starting elementary school, Jamie considered going back to work full-time and started reaching out to a number of people in her sphere of influence. Nicole Milone, Financial Advisor with Money Counts and a photography client of Jamie’s, contacted her with a possible opportunity to join the Money Counts team.

In August of 2017 Jamie joined Money Counts as a Client Relationship Manager. Jamie’s background in hospitality, identifying the client experience – how clients feel about every single interaction with your brand, social and digital marketing and her ability to build rapport and maintain lasting relationships with clients, has enabled her to fit right in with the Money Counts family.

As the newest member of the Money Counts team, Jamie confidently says, “This is the best company I’ve ever worked for!” Debbie Peterson and Nicole Milone genuinely care about each one of us and say to think of each other as “extended family”. Their passion for what they do is easily noticed during every client interaction. Jamie looks forward to many years ahead with the Money Counts Team.
